Thank You, Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, for Supporting Pediatric Care at Alive
Published on November 1, 2024
Alive is honored to be the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, generously supported by local Dunkin’ franchisees. This impactful gift is part of Dunkin’s national commitment to fighting childhood hunger and illness, with over $31,000 in grants presented to local Nashville organizations. Other recipients of this year’s grants include Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and One Generation Away.
These funds enable Alive’s pediatric hospice team to contract a Child Life Specialist, providing compassionate, skilled support to young patients and their families during some of life’s most challenging moments. The presence of a Child Life Specialist offers immense comfort and support, helping children understand and navigate their experiences and providing a safe space for emotional expression. This vital service helps us deliver the highest level of care to young children in hospice, as well as to siblings and children of patients we serve.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation and our local Dunkin’ franchisees for their commitment to making a difference in the lives of families facing serious illness. Together, we’re making strides to bring joy, compassion, and support to those who need it most.
