February Lunch & Learn: Creating a Meaningful Funeral

Led by Meg Wade an Interfaith Chaplain and Grief Doula at Larkspur Conservation, come learn helpful information about planning a funeral for someone you love that feels heartfelt, personal, and unique. In this workshop, participants will dive into the many ways to plan a funeral, including questions around rituals and practices, what end-of-life planning happens after a death occurs, but before a funeral takes place, and how to honor someone you’ve lost in a way that feels healing.

Weekly Guided Meditation (Virtual)

Need a moment of peace in your day? We invite you to join Alive on Zoom for a free and relaxing 30-minute guided meditation led by our volunteer, Sarah Silvi.

Songwriting through Grief (Virtual)

Award-winning songwriter Becky Warren leads songwriting sessions for healing, drawing from personal grief experiences. No musical background required. Sessions via Zoom, crafting a complete song in 3-4 hours over two sessions. Ready to write your song?

Youth and Family Grief Support

Youth Group for ages 4-17, dinner included!

Activities that allow children and teens to learn to cope with loss. Sessions include grief education, games and more. Registration required.
Starting February 18 – April 15 (no session March 11)

Camp Forget-Me-Not 2025

Alive’s overnight grief camp, Camp Forget-Me-Not, is for ANY child (aged 8-17) who has experienced the death of someone significant. Camp Forget-Me-Not combines traditional camp fun (ziplining, swimming and water slides) with therapeutic activities from Alive’s licensed grief counselors to remember loved ones and make connections with peers who are also grieving. Teens have their own groups and activities.

Valentine’s Brunch

We welcome you with open hearts to our Valentine’s Brunch designed to offer comfort and connection to those who are grieving. You will find a warm, supportive environment and enjoy a meal with others who understand your journey. Attendees will engage in small group discussion, hear a special guest speaker, and receive grief education.

This introductory group session answers questions on grief, provides tools, and introduces grief services offered by Alive.

Preparing for Goodbye: Coping with Grief Before Loss (Virtual)

For adults who are facing the terminal illness of a loved one. This class provides information on understanding and coping with the experience of anticipatory grief and finding meaning in the midst of expected loss.

Griever’s Toolbox (Virtual)

For adults seeking practical tips and tools for coping with grief. This group covers a different topic each month to equip individuals with strategies that they can directly implement as they adjust to life after loss.

Eight-Week Grief Journey Groups Forming Now!

Our Grief Journey groups launch the week of April 21. Groups meet for eight consecutive weeks and are led by licensed Grief Counselors. $80 per participant, scholarships available. *Final group meeting times and locations to be determined based on interest.
