“Grief counseling has given me incredible hope rooted in reality; I’ve learned you can move forward without leaving someone behind.”
“When my father passed, I felt like I was losing myself. He was a great listener and the smartest guy I knew. I was staying busy, but it caught up with me, so I decided to get counseling. I had to find the courage to live and honor him. People can judge and think it’s for weak and crazy people, but I improve myself by seeing a specialist. Grief counseling has given me incredible hope rooted in reality; I’ve learned you can move forward without leaving someone behind. I go to the cemetery often now to talk to my dad and play music, something I never would have done before. My relationship with my counselor is the best thing that has come out of this. Having someone who listens and helps me observe myself is comforting. It’s helped me stay connected and true and given me purpose.”
