Time is running out to register for Alive Hospice's Camp Evergreen. June 13 is the last day to sign up for this summer day camp for grieving children, which will be held June 21-23. To register, call 615-963-4732.
There is a cost of $30 per participant, but need-based scholarships are available.
Camp Evergreen will be held in White Bluff, Tenn. (Dickson County) with transportation provided to and from camp. Participants leave each morning from Alive Hospice's Nashville administrative office at 1718 Patterson St., near downtown Nashville.
This camp is for kids ages 6-14 who have been affected by the death of a family member, friend or other significant person.
Alive Hospice created Camp Evergreen to give grieving kids the support they need after a loss. Small and large group activities help kids understand grief, learn healthy coping skills and see that they're not alone. The camps are also full of fun activities, and lunch and snacks are provided.
