Due to such a terrific response from the community, Alive Hospice’s Third Annual Faith Leaders Conference is moving to a larger location! The conference will be held on Sept. 6 at the offices of Goodwill Industries, 937 Herman St. in Nashville.

Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Richard Payne, a renowned expert on spirituality and the end of life. Dr. Payne leads the Duke Institute on Care at the End of Life and serves as professor of medicine and divinity at Duke Divinity School.
 
Dr. Payne’s work with the Duke Institute on Care at the End of Life frequently examines the intersection of spirituality and care for the dying. A Harvard-trained physician, Dr. Payne has served on numerous federal panels and has published extensively in the areas of pain management, palliative medicine and ethics.

This conference will provide opportunities for participants to share insights on faith and the end of life. Other speakers will include Alive Hospice staff members who provide support to the dying and their families.
